Nancy Page
Developmental coach
smileynancy@hotmail.com
Nancy Page brings over two decades of dynamic coaching experience, with a career shaped by a deep passion for swimming, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a unique ability to lead swimmers of all levels—wherever life has taken her. She began coaching in 2000 with the Arizona Country Club recreational team and has since built a diverse and impactful coaching résumé across multiple states and programs coaching in Arizona, Nevada, Hawai‘i, New Mexico, and Utah.
Throughout her journey, Nancy has embraced every opportunity to grow as a coach, learning from outstanding mentors at each stage of her career. From backyard lessons in Phoenix while raising her children, to leading a competitive age group team in Winnemucca, Nevada, she has continuously expanded her skills and philosophy through hands-on experience and mentorship.
In 2014, Nancy moved to Maui, where she served as an age group coach and led the Learn-to-Swim program with the Maui Dolphins Swim Club until 2020. During that time, she also worked with the Hawai‘i Aquatics Academy, contributing to a groundbreaking statewide effort to provide swim education and water safety training to all schoolchildren in Hawai‘i. She also deepened her knowledge through clinics hosted at the University of Hawai‘i and professional development programs through the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA), gaining insight from some of the best minds in the field.
Even during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nancy continued to support swimmers through her work with the VAST team in New Mexico. Moving again at the end of 2020, she started coaching in 2021 with the SUSA Stingrays here in St. George, Utah, bringing energy, technical expertise, and a nurturing approach to every athlete she coaches.
In 2023, Nancy founded Desert Dolphins Swim School, specializing in teaching infants, toddlers, and young children foundational water skills, safety, and swim team preparation. The program reflects her lifelong passion for early childhood development in aquatics and her deep belief that water comfort and safety are essential life skills.
Nancy is also proud to be a certified Swim Whisperer through the Swim Angelfish adaptive swim program, equipping her with advanced tools to support swimmers with sensory sensitivities, motor coordination challenges, anxiety, and a wide range of learning differences. Through this approach, she creates individualized pathways for success—meeting each swimmer exactly where they are.
Across every program, every pool, and every swimmer, Nancy brings warmth, expertise, and a deep belief in the power of swimming to transform lives.
Nancy’s coaching style is rooted in building strong fundamentals, fostering confidence, and encouraging a lifelong love of the water. Her broad range of experience, combined with the mentorship and learning she has pursued, makes her a powerful influence on the swimmers and teams she works with.
